Foot? check.
Heel turn? Check.
Heel Flap? Check-er.
Gusset? Check-er-oo.
Join in the round and start leg? Confusing, but checkerino.
Try sock on.
Oops.
Foot too small. Well, just barely, but can't deny it. It is too small.
Dang.
Ribbit.

Good decision though. I went back to the foot, somehow managed to get the stitch pattern right and added one more repeat of the cable. Perfect! I am now back at the start of the leg and now just need to set aside some time to knit!

kudos to you for having the courage to go back. the colorway is perfect! I can't wait to see your new progress!
yeah i have an extra repeat of the cable pattern on both my first and second sock, and i realized on the second sock that i actually have an extra round at the beginning of the cabling near the toe, but i decided it is a feature not a bug. it's staying. but yes the extra cable repeat was a fortuitous mistake on the first sock, they fit well on 8.5/9 women's us feet.
Gee, and I had to take a repeat out! They look great!
What you've shown so far looks great. Love the color.
